I finished a small SBX system yesterday which is a 3X8 with no voice mail and 4 phones. I want to use the auto-fax switching, which I have used many times before.
I programmed x107 to have fax option, have line 3 programmed in the system attributes, and double-checked the timer for the fax tone. I increased it to 7 today to see if that might help.
Problem is when a fax comes in, it doesn't detect the CNG and sends to calls to the phones. Then they can transfer it to 107 and that works. I have mine in the office set up to do auto-fax, and it works fine. Am I missing something here? Can't find anything wrong with the program. Any help or observations would be appreciated.

Double-check the System Attribute section under System Base for the Auto FAX CO. Make sure it's set to the correct CO port.

Is the auto attendant answering this line to listen for the CNG tone?

It could be as simple as sending party not pressing start or waiting for your fax to answer. Happens everyday.
