just upgraded to release 4.2 on an s1000 and am now licenced for sip phones, I set up the tvse with the sip phone, password, dn and mac address, trying to connect a polycom 450 it advised it could not register to the pbx, the phone is on the same vlan as the rest of the voip phones, I am not sure about the gateway settings or if the gateway needs to be set since it is on the same lan, on telrads ftp site there are instructions on how to set up the polycom but none how to set up the pbx, thank you for any help you can give me

I have not used a polycom 450 before, but the phones I have done, I did not include a mac address. Make sure your passwords match. You might try using a 3rd party sip softphone and see if that will register. Double check your licensing to be sure you have a sip phone license. Thats all I can think of right now.

I checked the licenceing and I am licenced for 2 sip phones, checking with a sip soft phone it is not registering also giving me an error sign in address not valid uri,
question in the tvse web portal it asks for a proxy url, what would that be ?, i see sip private and public ports are both 5060 , it also shows for a single user name and login, that is a gerneric login for the sip phones to the server ?, never have done this before , sorry for the newbe questions

Try changing your sip ports to 5061. Unless you are using a proxy server you will not need those entries, don't forget to reboot the TVSE server when making configuration changes.

ok, found my problem, in the address on the lines page of the polycom phone web setup screen even tho the user id and the server ip address were already specified on that page if you did not put user@server ip address in the address field it would not register the polycom phone " [email protected]" in the line address field, now that the phone works but,,,,,, cant seem to get the voice mail messaging light to work, any ideas on how to turn on a sip message waiting light from a telrad system ?

any ideas on how to turn on a sip message waiting light from a telrad system ? what does the polycom book say it needs to light the mgs light? On a SLT or digital phone you send feature 63 to light the light. I'm sure it will need to be setup in the voicemail not in the system.
