I am trying to program the flex buttons on a dkt2020-sd. I need some of the flex buttons to call extensions directly without having to hit the speeddial button. It seems I can program a number but not get the button to go off hook to dial automaticaly.

It would be better to program them as DSS keys instead of speed dial buttons, but this has to be done in system programming. If programmed as DSS keys, you would also have a visual indication that the station is in use if the LED is lit.

If you don't have access to system programming, then when programming the speed dial buttons, simply press the intercom button before entering the extension number. Now when pressing a speed dial button, it will grab intercom first and then dial the extension.

Another helpful tip - when using the speed dial buttons to dial an outside phone number - press intercom 9 then the phone number when programming it. This will dial the number without having to press a line button first.

Yes, the code for System Speed Dial is 497. You would want to use System Speed Dials for numbers that all stations would dial and use Station Speed Dials for numbers that are unique to each station.

Ok I set the programming on that phone through program 39 to use the station speed dials and it does not work. This was a phone we just moved to one of the last avaliable ports on the system which is 022. Do we have to do anything else to make this work.

Also I am trying to reset some of the extensions that got moved around and trying program 91-1 When I get to the step where I am supposed to press led buttons 01 02 it says they must be on but they are not. Any ideas?

In pgm 39 you want to pgm the keys as #XXX (XXX=port number)this is a DSS key and does what you want. Enter Pgm 91 press Hold, press Spkr 1 and light 01 and 02,(not CO 1 and 2 but the first 2 keys) then press hold. Pgm 04 will not change.
