When you guys offer a Maintenance contract what do you usually charge per port or hour and does it include Adds, Moves, and Changes or just hardware replacement? Do you think the XTS should have a maint. contract?
tks

Sorry that type info is not discussed in the open forums. It's going to vary by region anyway.

My company provides plenty of maintenance contracts on XTS equipment. We charge a fixed price per port. As Bill mentioned, we also have to base this per-port price on location due to travel expectations.
When I say per-port, this means that we include every station, DSS console, CO line, PRI channel and voice mail port. We don't cover ancillary devices, such as music on hold units, cordless phones or fax machines except to verify that their connectivity to the system is working.
Moves/adds/changes are never included because there is no way of knowing the extent of work that may be required.
