I have followed the instructions under section C-5 (Caller ID Indication - Analog Trunks) from the Electra Elite 48/192 Features and Specifications Manual.

After completing the above instructions I am still not getting anything on my phones when a call comes in.

I also was not really clear on what a CAR key is and how it should be assigned.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
RJR

Without understanding what a CAR key is, you are probably not going to have much success in programming the 192. I would suggest looking for a NEC technician that knows the Electra 192/48 or Electra Elite IPK,,,,and not IPKII.

I disagree.. I have been pretty successful programming the 192..

You are obviously missing the entire point of these forums. If I knew what I needed to do I would not be here asking.

A more helpful answer would be appreciated! Why bother taking the effort to even post if you do not offer anything positive to contribute.

A point in the right directions would have been more appreciated.

Caller ID is basically set in 1-8-08 on a per class of service basis.

Other things to consider:

Is the CO card Caller ID compatible? Do you have a COID or COIB card? If you have a COI4/8 you will not get caller ID ever.

Is the carrier providing Caller ID?

Does the phone ring? Caller ID only shows on ringing stations.
