I have an SLC card that is not ringing on ports 5 - 8. the lines have dial tone, and you can transfer and pick up knowing that the line is ringing, even though there is not indicator of it ringing.
port voltage is -24v@ the card
there has been no previous trouble with the card.
I check the the Power supply, all three LEDs are green. But when I check the power all the voltages are out of tolerance, with the +5 being over voltage.
my question is this. are the power supply voltages being out of spec. the cause of the SLC not working, or a symptom?
I have a call into our local tech, so he can confirm where the problem lays before I have him order parts.

after things slowed in the office and the SLC ports where not in used, I pulled the card, and I noticed that one of the onboard ring generators was hot to the touch, the other was not hot.

Bad ring generators are a common problem on the SLC cards. If you have another SLC, you could try swapping them to isolate, but swapping out the card is the standard 'fix' for that issue.
