Hello,
On the card that we hook the crossover cable to, there's a Page output and it looks like you can plug a headphone jack or speaker input into it. (This is the card that I upload the modified databases to.)
I already have a phone here that automatically rings the operator when somebody picks up the phone. What I'm wondering is. How might I use that little output that says Page, to play a .wav to an amp, then the suite speakers??
What in the database would be required to be changed/added?
Thanks.

Please give us a little more information. What exactly are you trying to make happen? How does this relate to the House Phone that is set to dial the operator? Are you trying to make it automatically page through the speakers when the handset is lifted?

Yes, we have a phone at the front door which is meant to be used by visitors after business hours. What I am looking for is if someone picks up the phone, it should page with some message automatically or ring a bell or something like this to alert people inside the suite - not necessarily a particular extension as it is now. I appreciate your response.
TIA !

Couldn't you just set the house phone number to dial the page zone/port?
I'm not sure if you can do that, as Intertel restricts the page port functions, but if you can that would solve your problem.

OK, so a visitor will pick up the house phone and it will open the house speakers. Are they going to know to announce that they are at the front door?
It seems that a doorbell would work much better, but post back and we'll help with however you want to do it.

Actually, there is some change in my need: When the door phone is picked up, it should ring at 4 extensions in cycle - first two rings at extn. 145 and if no response ring next two rings at extn. 158 and do the same for extn. 171 and 194 before going back to extn. 145 for the ninth ring. I am not sure if this is doable and it is, any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks Again !

You need to set up a hunt group. Enter the extensions you want in the order you want them to ring. Then have the house phone call the hunt group when it goes off hook.
You can also make it ring all the stations at the same time if you prefer. Then whoever is available can grab it.

It's a fairly easy procedure. Just follow your manual and keep us posted :thumb:
