I don't have a LIPU or BIPU card in my CIX.. Is there a way of using analog ports with a MicroMas-D? The datasheet for the MAS says you can.

The uMAS-D uses the Dialogic analog boards. The uMAS-H uses the xIPU. The D indicates Dialogic and the H indicates HMP.

Sorry, it is in fact a MicroMAS-H. Which means I have a MAS Server that I can do nothing with until I get a LIPU card. Anyone have one for sale?? Haha..

You can use either an LIPU or an MIPU. Before you buy one, you should make sure that the MicroMAS is licensed for how you want to use it. From a previous post, it looks like you want to use it as a voicemail system. I can also be an Automated Call Distribution (ACD) server, with the right licensing.

Thanks for the FYI Dave. I am fully licensed for a 4 port voicemail system, as well as ACD and a few other things. Just now have to save up for the LIPU/MIPU. Being a small business owner from NY, and still paying off the medical bills from having the big C, it was a disappointment to know my Toshiba "friend" wanted to just make a $$ and sell me the unit. He also informed me my CIX was all set to go for it too. Jerk! I'm a 27 yr old small business ownwer with a lot to learn still apparently!
Anyway, thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it!!

Since you mentioned ACD, I should mention that you won't be able to get that working without an LIPU/MIPU (like the voicemail), and you will also need a license on your Toshiba CIX as well. This license allows MAS (or more specifically Net Server) to connect to the processor on your Toshiba CIX. The good thing is that you should be OK with licensing for just voicemail. You may be lucky and it will have a few UM licenses as well.
If you find a great deal on a BIPU, Don't get it. I am pretty sure that the BIPU is compatible with the MicroMAS-H. You need an LIPU or an MIPU. Also, don't accidentally get an LIPS.
Maybe you should talk to your "Friend" and tell him he forgot to give you the LIPU or MIPU that needs to go to the system for it to be "all set to go".

If it is a cix200 it is likely configured as an IP system already, and it would have ipu's in it already

Teledude, the only ethernet port I have is the one on the processor card. The unit is licensed for 16 IP ports tho.
