In a very simple words, extension number 2016 in my SV8500 pbx is not any more able to make any outside call...! when ever that user dials for the outside call, he gets busy at the end of dialing..Here is what I have done: 1-deleted the number, i used ALGSN and ASDT commands and re program it. 2- Intialized the DLC card, I flip the MB sw up and down. 3- I took out the DLC card and reinsret it 4- I tested the ext number status by DCON command , it displayed IDLE. 5- Telephone set used is DT300 and proved to be working fine. all the above actions does NOT solve the issue...! any suggestion to help solve that isssue? thanx

You say it's not dialing out "any longer". To me it would mean it was fine up to a point and then all of a sudden it became unable to dail out. Is that correct?
If so, was any programming done on the system (like changing the phone's restriction class), or any other changes around that time?
When you dial, how many digits can you dial before you get (fast-)busy? You say you get busy-tone, but I gather you meant to say fast-busy. Is the problem on local calls, domestic long-distance, international or all of them?
Can other phones dial out with no problem? Can others dial out calling the same number that fails on 2016? Are they in the same RSC as 2016? Same tenant?
Can the phone device be plugged into another working phone line, and would it then be able to call out? Maybe just one button is defective on the phone, like "9", so it never dials the access-code for outside calls.
I'm just guessing with all these questions, but it would be good to know the answers to all.

I would also check to see that the carrier isn't blocking your outbound CID (on that ext) because it's "invalid".

but all other extensions in the pbx are working fine; and the RSC setting are all the same for the Dterms. No other particular setting is assigned to that ext.

What happens if you unprogram this station and re-program in some other parts of the PBX? Like in a different Module group? If that's not possible (because you only have 1 module group), do you have other phones on the same line card that work fine? Do you have any other phone in the system with extension number with the same starting digits that work fine?
And also, if you could answer my other questions on my earlier post: -was there some change in the system? -after how many digits dialed do you get the (fast-)busy? -is the problem on all kinds of outgoing calls or just local/long-distance/international? -can other phone on the same line dial out? -can this phone on other lines dial out?

phadob29 thank you for caring, here is my answers: yes that ext was working normally. no setting was changed related to any ext settings "TEC, RSC, SFC". deleting that ext and reprogramming it in a diferent locations gave same result. all other extensions in the same DLC card and in the whole pbx are working FINE. we use LCR to call outside, so we only hear "BUSY tone NOT fast busy" at the end of dialing number plus access code "9+7 digits" and the telephone set display "BUSY" . as atemporary solution, I gave the user another vacant number to use.

with it stating busy I want to think that it is trying to access a trunk group that doesn't exist, or lines that are in-op. Is this extension set up with a different LCR class?

MohammadJaffal rsc given to that ext is the same one given to all Dterms..and all other Dterms are working fine...!!! BillFlippen: No particular setting what so ever is given to that ext...it has the same RSC, SFC as all other digital sets. and all Dterm users dial 9 for outside calls and make their calls BUT NOT 2016...!

Is the Ext on the same tenant as rest of the extensions ? Did you used MA-ID on your system ? Is the extension can make internal calls ?
