Hello All. I came across this forum and seen a lot of information about the SBX phone system and I was hoping to get some insight on an SBX system that I will be upgrading. Basically I will be taking an existing installation and upgrading it from t1 to a copper PRI service. I have been reading through the manual's and talked with vertical about the upgrade and so far the only information I have for sure is that I need to install the PRI board, make sure the switch is set to PRI and configure it the board slot location for the PRI card and STA ports. This appears to be fairly simple but I want to make sure that nothing else needs to be configured. I have read about having to configure the DID table, but since I cannot play with this feature in PC admin offline I was wondering exactly how I go about programming it. I am still learning about installing phone systems and have not had to program a DID table yet. All of the numbers Provided to me by TPac are my incoming/outgoing lines(Area code - XXX - XXXX) and thats it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Based on a lot of experience you may need some over the phone support for this. It can be tricky to get multiple phones to ring and such. It isn't exactly a swap pots for PRI and have it all work the same.

Thanks for the response. I have been contacting tech support pretty frequently just to see what steps I will need to take to get all of the settings configured. I feel pretty confident in performing my upgrade as of now. I am doing a weekend cut over for upgrading to the PRI service and will be without any tech support. Which is why I was asking if anyone had any tips or information about my situation. Based on a lot of peoples issues that have been addressed on this forum I figured that there may be a lot of people on here with more experience then myself. So far from talking with tech support, they have walked me through installing my PRI card, configuring the slots for the PRI and STA Ports, programming my DID table and hunt groups.

There is a step by step on vconnect. The biggest thing that is different from most systems is that the sbx only looks for 3 digits instead of the typical 4. If you have a conflict in doing this there's another table that you need to configure. Other than that if you have done a pri on any system it's pretty much the same.
