I took over an account with a KXTDA-50 and KXTVA50 voicemail. Im normally an NEC guy (except I have KX-TD816 at home and at church) I dont have access to the VMS password although all other passwords on the system are set to the defaults. I have reprogrammed all the phone and multiple hunt groups, trunk groups, ringing patterns, and coverage groups but I cant clear out the VM boxes. I am 1 step away from re-initializing the VMS and wanted to see if this means I will ahve to resetup everything or just redo the mailboxes. I dont have the software for my laptop to connect to the VMS and change any of those settings and was hoping that if I re-initialize the VM then all of the extensions will be able to be configured via a phone? I just want to be able to clear all vms mail boxes (and/or passwords) and setup new users on the existing extensions? Before you say it, yes I have and have read the manuals (installation and programming). The book say I need to "provide mailbox no. length, manager mailbox no, and message manager mailbox no", is this via a phone or am I going to have to connect my laptop for this? comments?

Get the console, delete the mailboxes then put them back in.
You can do this via phone using the manager box,999.
