Got my first SBX. Found new system with old software in it for a song. Have already upgraded the system to 3.5. That went good. But all kinds of problems doing the vm upgrade. The SBX does not recognize the bin file. It says the bin file does not exist. I even tried upgrading using vm ver 3.0. Same problem. Yall got any ideas. I know I don't. This is way too new to me.
Thanks David

Do you have access to v-connect? If so, look for this PDF: SBX_IP_R35_Software_Upgrade_note v2.pdf
They made some changes in the VM upgrade. The file is now vertical35.bin.gz. (Note the .gz)

I had the correct software from V-Connect. I just had a major brain fart doing the upgrade. I figured out what I was doing wrong. But I will say this, this is going to be hard for me to learn the new system. I'll be honest & tell you I don't even know how to start with the programming.
Thanks for your response Larry. You got a nice web site.

Hi,
Vertical SBX software upgrades are supposed to be free, but I'm not able to find vertical35.bin.gz on the web. Do I have to call Vertical tech support ?

You need to log into VConnect ( https://vconnect.vertical.com) to get the software. If you don't have an account, you can register for one. If you are a Vertical dealer, you can alternatively contact support and request the information to their FTP.

Thank you Chris. I tried to get registred on VConnect but no response from Vertical. So I tried to call to Vertical Tech support and they refused to help me, telling me that I had to call a dealer. The problem is that there is no Vertical dealer in Quebec and they gave me a phone number of company from Ontario, then I called that guy who did not know that he was suppose to be a Vertical dealer... Great!
