Hi All, This is an NEC Aspire system (PC Programming 6.11) I have a admin asst and her boss. They want the bosses number to ring on both his and her phone at the same time. It needs to show caller ID on both phones and when no one answers, his voicemail picks up. We have tried programming a button on her phone to mimic his, but that does not show caller ID of who is calling on her phone. We have tried Fixed Call Forwarding, but if it is an internal call, it just rings and rings and voicemail never picks up if no one answers. We looked at call coverage but that appears to be the same as programming a button, unless we are doing it wrong. Anyone get something like this to work?
Many Thanks!

The appearance has to ring to show caller ID. Enable ringing & you should be set.

Thanks so much for the reply. I assume you are talking about when we program a button as a virtual extension on her phone? 15-09 has all Operation Modes set to ring. It does ring her phone, and if an outside caller calls, it shows the caller ID, but not internal callers. It just flashes and rings but the display on her phone just shows her name, it is unchanged by the call. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Try and use delayed ringing virtual (you must have the other enabled for this to work) and set it to start ringing after 1 second.

Thanks Coral Tech, but that didn't work either. It did delay the ring, but internal calls still show no caller ID. We even tried at 10 seconds, and still no internal caller ID. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Do you mean internal station vs caller ID which is external?

Yes, sorry if I am using incorrect terms. When someone calls his extension from another phone on our phone system, the name appears on his phone display of who is calling, "Mary H" lets say, but her phones display shows nothing. Incoming external calls show caller ID on both his and her phone display correctly.

Have you tried to press the "check" button on the phone to see if it shows the extension?

When we push "Check" the screen just shows the word "Check" on the display.
