Has anybody started using the new 4.0 sbx programmer yet? I just downloaded it, but, it says I need to remove the old version first. I don't want to do that IF the new version isn't backward compatible with 3.5 software sites that I already have in place.

3.5 is backwards compatible with 3.0. Just remember to uninstall 3.5 and delete all vertical folders associated with it as well (don't delete your customer sbx dba backups by mistake!) before you install 4.0

well, I Thought I downloaded 4.0 PC Admin software? It doesn't look like the 3.5, ? it looks like an Off Line programer? I can't connect to any site ( I don't get an option to add any sites? )
the file I downloaded is : GSAD DOAa 20120830 english zip ? is that the correct file?

well, Now, I completely removed 3.5 admin , and re installed what says it is 4.0 from V-Connect ( same file as above) but, it is still 3.5 ?
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

I downloaded it from the new V-connect SBX products page. GSVaddoaa202830....looks just like 3.5 with all the same tools.

Thanks, Derrick, Yes, I was finally able to make it work( but, it still says 3.5 ) I was able to load the 4.0 software on my test cabinet.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

It's backwards compatible like the rest. On some computers it seems that the upgrade process of admin becomes a real joke. My sites NEVER save on my one computer. I have to delete everything dealing with SBX off. Others I just run setup and it pops like it should sites included.
