I am tring to re-configure netphone on a users PC , where the previous user left the company. I deleted the old user from Net server, open netphone on the users PC and enter the new name, password and get the error that Extension already in use for another client ?? Also I cant remember where to view how many Netphone license's the system is setup for ?

You can look at the Copykey service on Netserver. I believe the license code is DFES. Divide the total by 22. Do you think another user has that extension assigned? The users will auto populate so you could delete the user, but if Netphone is running, it will just create the user again.

I am trying to setup Netphone on a PC that was used by another user at one time, delete the old user(different Ext #), remove Netphone from PC , reboot, reload Netphone and it keeps coming up the old users Ext #, name, even if you modify the login info. Is there a way to totally remove Netphone ? Is it something in the registry ? The customer even deleted the old users profile on the PC.

I haven't been able to find out where the login info is stored. I have looked in the user's profile before, where a lot of the configuration in stored.
One thing I found with the older 6.X Netphone and Windows 7, I kept trying to change the login info, but restarting Netphone would bring back the old info. . Eventually I got it working by running the Netphone executable as an Administrator. Netphone 6.X has some issues when running on Windows 7, but if the customer did not keep up on maintenance then you can't do much.
The other issue is when the old user would automatically be created in the Netserver. This is default behavior which is pretty convenient until you want to keep an old user deleted but it keeps coming back. I also had trouble with licensing because the customer would rotate PCs without removing Netphone, which would automatically login and create the user you already deleted.
I would try going to the Net Server Admin, and under file>settings, remove the check box that says "Allow Net Server to automatically add new clients".

I discovered something interesting yesterday on this customer, I went onsite and found that they have made the MAS a virtual server, the physical MAS was unplugged ??? I was trying to load some Netphone and ACD license's remotely and they wouldn't load so I went onsite and discovered this. Not sure what to do now other than RUN like hell. I believe the license's wouldn't load because the serial number that the license's were download for ?? I don't understand some customers that do crap like this

HI,
The name and login will be stored in the TSP locally on machine. Go into phone and modem options and select Advanced tab select the Oaisys Tapi and guess what.... it will still have the old name. Caught me out before.
Cheers Chris
