G'day all,

Have a curious issue on a SV8100. The customer has a recorded VRS which states the caller is to press 1 to talk to someone, press 2 to organize a meeting. The second option is to obtain a line out and call the head office.

I have instructed the VRS to go to a virtual which is then call forwarded offsite to the number.

If you call the virtual from a internal digital handset, the call is established and all is okay. When a caller comes in on an outside line, the VRS option is announced, when the customer presses 2, the call is dropped. Its using a PSTN (POTS) line.

I'm pretty sure i've ticked all the right boxes and entered the correct amounts such as;

14-02-12 - Ticked the box
20-11-11 - Ticked the box
20-11-12 - Ticked the box
24-02-10 - We set to 600 seconds

I would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks!
Chalky. grin

First, this feature not using digital trunking is never advised. That being said, two things come to mind. First do you have enough lines to do this AND are you set for unsupervised trunk to trunk transfer?

Unfortunately I'm nothing but a Field Tech and the choice has been made.

Would you be able to tell me the relevant fields and ill check them now?

Thanks very much for the swift response!!

I've had a look under Tandem Trunking and I've set all the values and the system still dumps the call when number 2 is pressed. Any further suggestions on how to set it up?

Cheers mate.

How is your VRS setup? I assume you have enough lines for the second call.

Try putting the virtual in a separate timer class & set the cfw 'no answer' time to 2 sec. Then use 'no answer' setting instead of 'all' when setting cfw.

Alright everyone, while I have learnt quite abit from you all, I have a confession!

Unfortunately I wasn't the original programmer and it appears I was duped!

The line ports that were not in use were in the same trunk group and also had the selected priority.

I changed that and the problem fixed itself straight away. Appears the system was trying to forward the call to a port which had no line attached.

Thanks all for your help!

Very appreciated,

Chalky.

I would suggest setting the skip if no dial tone on all truk ports.
