You are reading about Partner sets, they had an analog "pass-through" port for an analog device.
Your 95xx sets can not do that.

I read that you can have more than one phone on an Avaya Partner digital phone system port, but only one of the phones can be digital - the others have to be analog. So it does appear to be possible. Unfortunately, the system that I am concerned with at the moment is a newer Avaya system. You could have two phones (one digital and one analog) but you could only use one at a time.
