I have a customer with a Charter PRI. It has been in for about a year and last week they started to see calls coming in, they answer, talk for a while, disconnected and then "recording 042" announced by the Telco. They are also experiencing calls coming in after they hang up that have the same CID as the previous call but no one is there. I have a document that states a T1 error code 42 is "switching equipment congestion". Is this the same as the 042 recording?

Call Charter and tell them to replace the channel module in the CO. You are losing D channel data mid stream.

Thanks Rcman. I reported the problem to the cable company today.
