I have a SV8300 customer with a UM8000VM who would like to have a button on their phone light when another user has a voicemail message. They would also like to be able to retrieve it by pushing the button. Can someone tell me how I would set this up?

There are a couple of things that control this. There is an CM08 setting & a CM65 setting having to deal with sub lines & vm. A virtual will flash with mw when 1303 is set.

Are those settings per phone or are they system wide-meaning if I change these settings will everyone have a flashing virtual button if the physical extension assigned to the virtual has a new message? Thanks

Most likely it will effect all users. The CM65 is a tenant setting, so you could separate it that way.

Why not email the voicemail message to multiple users and save the hassle.
