If I agree will my dist sell me the equipment or do I have to go GM and where would that leave me or just walk away, just wondering ?????

Why wouldn't your Distributer sell you the equipment. They don't know the eq is GM.
And how do you know it's GM (just curious)

Customer asked installation person if he had coverage with Avaya when system installed. Was told no but he would cover any problems.( this is what makes me think its GM) Also I thought when you purchased a piece of equipment from dist for any ip office they wanted to know where it was going and needed the ser # from the system. Am I wrong or what

They don't ask for serial #, and i think they do ask for customers name. However you have no involvement with the existing eq. It was in place, your just servicing the customer.
Give them the customer info. both AVAYA and the Dist wants to move equipment. I see no problem with this.

Maybe Mongo withh comment on this.

Be sure to check your system version. The combo cards won't work with just any version. Might need to upgrade software too.
