We have an employee who is going out on Maternity leave and will be out a few months but she will work from home.

I haev an offsite IP phone all setup (on a different ext as her inoffice as it's a PITA to move non-ip to IPs, especially when i would jsut have to move it back in 2 months).

Both her exts will be in a hunt group to both ring, and if neither answer it goes to VM.

All i want to do is have it so her offsite phone gets the message waiting light. How can i easily do this w/o deleting her mailbox.

I thought id' just be able to change the message indicator but seeing how it's an associated mailbox i can't.

Any tips are apprecaited.

Thanks!
Andy

Set up a call routing announcement that times out to her IP VM and set this as the recall dest in the hunt group. Set the time for recall to be as long as you want it to ring before going to VM.

I've already got the ringing both phones and going to VM working ( i just a forwarding path to do that). I'm just wondering how to get the VM light to light on the offsite phone instead of her desk phone.....

Maybe I don't understand the question, but isn't Beholder just looking for this:

Voice Processor\Devices\Mailboxes\{Location}\{box#}\Message Notification Station

You can only change the notification station number on non-associated mailboxes. You may have to create a non-associated mailbox if you haven't already, and just have the hunt group timeout into it.

I don't have any experience with On Line Monitor.

Re: the message notification station, if i could just change that i would, since it's already associated with an ext i guess i'd need to un-associate it and re-associate it to the IP phone? then when she comes back to the opposite?

Would this be an ok solution?

If so, how would i go about doing this?

OK that problem is solved, thanks for the PM and sorry about discussing OLM in the open forum.

One other ?. I've got the hunt group working, except for one circumstance:
If both phones are on DND then the call gets a busy signal for about 8 seconds and then it goes to VM. Anyway to eliminate this?
If not i could just unplug the phone in the office here as she won't be using it until she returns. I'd just like to know the "correct" way to do this if possible.

Thanks!

In the Hunt Group, you probably have 'camp-ons allowed' flagged to no. Try setting to yes and see what difference that makes.

No problem. The warning was mainly to remind readers not to discuss OLM on the open forum.

Thanks for the response,
I have camp-ons allowed set to yes. What exactly are Camp-ons anyway?

I went and set the user up on friday afternoon at her house, since she has her office in her basement she wasn't too concerned with having it ring in the house. I'm also just going to unplug the phone at her desk in our office so no one puts it on DND by mistake.

Thanks for all of your help!
