I have a 2400ICS and now an SV8500. Many of our users on the 2400 are connected by DRU. I'm experimenting with switching over some of those users from the 2400 to the 8500 by connecting the DRU to the 8500. I have programmed some stations, moved the DRU interface card from the 2400 to the 8500 and connected the DRU to it but the phones on that DRU didn't work. I'm using DRU-s over E1 for 30 Dterm Series e phones. The 2400 was purchased in 1999 with all its DRU-s. The manual of the SV8500 DOES have a section about using DRU-s, but it doesn't say what firmware do I need to have in the DRU and its interface card. I think that's where the problem coming from: I have old firmware chips on them. Has anybody made these work? Am I correct in assuming that I need new firmware in them?

I have several systems that went under migration from 2400 to 8500 that have DRU and DCS units on them.
You have to chip kit the DIAG cards and the DRU units.
Sorry, I do no know what level.

Just to circle back on this, I upgraded the chip kit as instructed, and the DRU is working fine now.
