Im setting up a Voip phone for a nec DSX40 . the phone works fine on the lan . when I test it on the WAN it conncts fine works for 1-2 min then drops the connection
looking at the router Error Log I see a string off
Thu, 2013-07-11 07:19:37 - UDP packet - Source: 72.184.93.92 - Destination: 65.32.5.111 - [Ceiling for number of connections reached, dropping packet Src 2543 Dst 53 from SELF]
how do I resolve this ?

I did get it working Ihd IT guy I work with coming out to look at the network we messed around and changed some switch settings I brought it back to the shop and plugged it in and had it plugged in overnight working fine

If its happening only through WAN then the router is likely the culprit. You can try turning down the Timeout for UDP down. You can also turn up the number of ports on the router.
If there is a lot of traffic going through the router (ex: torrents), the ports can get eaten up fast.
