Hey Guys... I have a client with a 4port Interchange machine that died. My question is does anyone have a sureshot PC that I can purchase or build. The voice card, HD and dongle are fine and all the distributors don't want to just sell the machine. I wanna be fair to my client as they have been the ideal customer for many many years.

If you want to use your restore disk make sure you use an exact replacement mb unless you want a lot of problems. Since the motherboards changed alot its harder to find some of them.

Excellent advice particularly if it is a Win2000 box. The XP boxes were a lot more forgiving on hardware changes.

Post some pictures of the motherboard, trying to get any model numbers to show. I might be able to help you locate something.

Thanks,

Tough to find motherboards these days with ISA slots.

I come across a lot of old equipment, plus there's always eBay.

If it's a Pentium II or early Pentium III it probably has the Intel 440BX chipset, which was super common so finding a replacement board won't be too hard.

I have 6 new isa motherboards for the dos machines I thought people would snap them up when I put them on equip for sale thread but no interest go figure.I guess its something you need when you need. Most of the win2000 machines used a BCM mother board and they are way hard to find nowdays. ITOX built alot of voicemails for them and they changed motherboards alot.
