Hello.

I am in need of a very good wireless outdoor Camera(exposed to rain, sun, heat, humidity,etc...).

Does anyone have any recommendation on a good brand or model to get? I have had some bad experiences in the past with Cameras which don't seem to work very well.

When going wireless, is it better to get an IP camera or analog camera,etc..?

Thanks for your help.

Wireless technology largely depends on your current infrastructure as well as the distance involved.

Why a wireless cam versus wired? You still have to power the camera with a wire either way.

If you're looking for something high quality, you're going to want IP but you'll also need a quality access point to connect it to as well as a suitable NVR. Panasonic makes excellent IP cameras.

I tend to stay away from the "analog" or "digital" wireless camera systems since they are typically proprietary and could be difficult to find a replacement camera for in the future. Save the cheap stuff for the nanny cam! smile

I myself is not a fan of wireless cameras because of interference
i would recommend a wired camera,i would go with a ip camera
because the resolution is way much better then an analog and you just need a cat5 drop and run poe with it what is it you are trying to watch as well will give us clues to better your needs

What do you think of this camera?

Its 720P HD camera, wireless IP camera, outdoor camera.

10,000 SF house with large backyard, tons of concrete. Would be very difficult to run a conduit and require tons of wiring.

I was thinking of a single WIFI on the roof connected to a computer server able to record motion on the WIFI camera.

Pool guy, gardener, etc. suspected of trying to steal a large expensive BBQ, trying to break into house in the back door, etc.. Home owner travels for weeks at a time and need to be able to keep an eye on the place as well as have video proof of what is going on.

Thanks
