This is an old thread but i wanted to add to it. We had an issue with our phones that they would reset themselves automatically and the ip card would jump from idle to all error: DO and the problem was that network handed out the static ip assigned to the IP card to a users workstation.
Good point (although I don't know if it 100% relates to this thread about a PDKU card).
When ever possible, I try to ask the person responsible for the customer's data network to provide the IP addresses to me, or at least provide the DHCP scope so I can find an unused IP address above or below the range.
I have had someone statically assign an IP address to an access point that conflicted with one I already assigned to the CIX processor. It's not too hard to ping before using an IP.
