A curious thing happened today. Our boss somehow turned off system forwarding for his phone. We were checking to make sure voice mail was working using my phone. My MSG light was lit and when I hit the button it automatically connected me to the extension we had tested from. Is anyone familiar with how this is done in axxess 6 or was it just a curiosity. I believe it was done as an intercom call, and we have it set up so intercom calls do not go to voice mail, only outside calls. :shrug:
Update:
On an intercom call if the dialer hits the msg button this will happen. I also found if whoever left the message is not at their desk message indicator will keep flashing unless you hit the msg button again and it will then be left as a message indicator on the other phone. How fun, Sorry if this is old news to the rest of you. :sleep:

Yes, intercom calls can be set to go to VM. It would be set up in the system forwarding path.

Yes, if a caller hits the MSG button while calling another station, it will turn on that MSG light. This is usefull for when your trying to reach another station thats busy.

We have voicemail turned off for intercom calls so this is an interesting facet.
