I have a customer that has an nec 8100 softphone. Can not be heard on the headset. Any ideas?

In desktop configure, make sure the correct USB audio device is set.
Make sure the USB headset is plugged in BEFORE you open the desktop/softphone.

The customer had a headset wired in. Customer purchased a logitec USB headset. He plugged the headset in first and then the softphone. The correct audio device is set in the configuration. Customer can hear caller but customer can not be heard.
