Hi, This maybe a hard one,
Our company 'night-switches' the pilot number to an after hours Call-Care business by call diversion dialing '161- destination number' (this is a Telecom exchange feature)
Recently the reception has been unoccupied some mornings and the call diversion has been left 'On'.
My manager has asked if there is any way to show an indicator lamp on the phone(s) to shown what status the pilot in in? Maybe setting up a 'one-touch button' to put 'on' call diversion (with lamp on) and another button to turn call diversion 'off'?
Any clues anyone?

This would be an additional step to do. You could program Day / Night modes and put the system into night mode when you do the call diversion. This would give you a light indicator on as many phones as you deem necessary with a time service key & via COS and allowing "TIME SERVICE SWITCH". On display phones you will be able to toggle the info soft-key to show time mode also.

Only problem there is it is not a sure way of knowing it is on. If they just hit the night key the light will go off but the divert won't be cancelled

The only way to do it with a light is let the system do the divert, but it will use a second co to send the call out on.

if the line is a loopstart line call and where you are divert gives a stutter there are adjuncts that will flash when a stutter is on the line stutter can be 90volt or FSK so there is actually a way over on this side of the pond to tell if call fwd c.o. has beem engaged
