Hi,
We just had to replace an XTSc-IP system at a site that was networked to another XTSc-IP system. The problem was with the backplain so the KSU was replaced to restore the customer services. With this being said, I have lost the networking capability since I have no networking code for the replacement KSU. It is not a big deal that they have lost the site-to-site intercom ability but the problem i am faced with is trying to figure out how to assign the XT's back to 4 digit. We installed these systems about 6-7 years ago and have discontinued selling Vodavi/Vertical products, but are still considered dealers. I have tried to change the XT numbers from flash 52 but can only change 1000-1009. Once I try to change fixed station code 110 to flex code 1010 i get a busy tone. I just need to change all 3 digit XT numbers to match their old 4 digit MB numbers 1000-1031 since i am still able to use the flash VM that was in the KSU. I changed the VM box assignment in flash 50 Page B button 13 but that does not help when the user xfers a call directlydirectly to VM. I also see nothing that would help in flash 16.

You can't change the number of digits in extension numbering programming. Its done in flash 09 programming....leading digit button 9 and tell the system what the first digit is to be. I suggest you change your extensions back to three digits before you change the leading digit or you may end up with five digit numbers.
Once you change it, there is an option in flash 09 to match extensions to mailbox numbers. That option automatically matches all of them at once.

Also the networking is still there, some of it. Without the network code the messaging between the systems (caller id info) and central voice mail will not work but you can still call extensions.

The programming manual has all this info in it.

Vertical inside sales might issue you a new code for free once you explain the original system died if you are an authorized dealer that is.

Thanks Derrick,
You were on the money!! I now have 4 digit XT numbers and everyone feels like they are somewhat back to normal. The only thing we are experiencing now is transferring a call to voicemail. If we use the direct transfer method ( press VM button & then press DSS button of the employee)the voicemail returns a prompt "transferring to mailbox zero one zero zero 0100" and then fails because the digits do not match. If you transfer a call to the station and let it ring before going to VM it works fine and goes to the correct mailbox. The XT's are 1000-1031. I did match the XT & MB again in flash 09 even though the VM was never altered so all the mailboxes were still 4 digit.

the good news is we are operational now minus the networking and direct transfer to VM, We are already planning to replace the system in January when this customer moves into their new facility but i still want them to be as close to normal as possible.

The flash 09 match mailbox only changes the extension numbers in the phone system, it does not change the voice mail itself. I suspect that your direct transfer to voice mail may not be working because the dss key extension numbers, including the voice mail button, could have changed and will need to be reprogrammed with the four digit numbers.
