I installed a bcm (not a bcm guy, more mics) and want to hook up a flash to it, it see's the flash but the internal vm overrides the feature codes, looking to disable the bcm vm.
thanks

And so it should!

It has a built in callpilot so that there is no need for an external mail, a vmail from over 10 years ago wont be compatible in the slightest amount.

It does see the stk1 on the maint but i guess that doesn't mean it is compatible, I am not much into the bcm, I can get an external cp with 10 seats cheaper then I can buy 10 for tho and I know it will work but still need to disable the internal CP

True but customer pays not you.
If they do not want to utilize a BCM then trade it in for a CICS or MICS CP combo.

If you recall KSU's alos may see the non-compatible versions of voice mail but they wont boot up or some of the vital mail option wont work or just plain cause grief and havoc.

In this cause Nortel creates the rules so guys like you dont pull stunts like this : ) lol
They have the Callpilot embedded so you cannot disable it forcing you to pay for licenses.

Sorry if you were offended, clearly no my intention hence the : ) and lol
I say guys like you because:
-You are the one who is trying to connect an old Flashtalk per your first post.....not me or your customer or anyone else here.
-You are the one also stating that you can get an external CP cheaper than purchasing BCM licenses.
-You are the one whom seems to think it can be done regardless of what anyone might tell you.

One thing to add.....how much drive space? how many channels and features vs the built in CP? and again compatibility (no support from Avaya).

I am sure most techs out there will simply say "sorry customer but it is not compatible therefore not supported by Avaya, you will need to purchase the licenses" , note to them the advantages of using the internal CP and be done with it.

Just because some tech hooked one up (and for some reason works) does not mean it should be done again.

BTW 8 seats are only $xxx give or take.

Not offended and yes another tech did it so why cant I? I am good at what I do but just not the BCM, and I did see your price before edit and i know that but customer doesn't want to pay an extra $xxx for it since they had vm before (I did my own editing lol)
