I have discovered there is a lot of bleed in the frequencies on FiOS lines. I had that demonstrated to me by a guy with a scope. A low pass filter often solves the problem. What we are doing at the IPO end is what the IAD should be doing but is not.

Well, you have to realize that FiOS and cable dial tone is intended to be used with those phones you see hanging on the wall peg at the supermarket in the isle with the mops, sponges and light bulbs.
