Hi everyone,
I am working with the Vertical MBX100. This is a new install. Customer is going to PRI with the new system

i am having a major problem with the MBX not routing the DID numbers. Instead all calls are ringing the attendant phone, the display reads GROUP ATTENDANT CALLS. After setting up the DID conversion table and the CO Line attributes, even after confirming all the settings were correct with Vertical tech support, i stll can't get any DID calls ringing the appropriate stations. Tech support is telling me that maybe the telco, which is Verizon, is not sending the correct DID numbers but i don't think that's the problem.

Does anyone have any clue as to what i may be missing here? Has anyone had the same experience?

Thank you

How many digits are you expecting from the carrier? Sounds like they are sending different that what you are expecting and programmed for.

It sounds very much like a digit problem. Unlike the sbx which will only look at the last 3 digits and ignore the rest, the mbx wants what it wants . If you set it for 4, it better be 4 that it gets.

Thank you for your reply. I did think about the # of digits and in the conversion table set it for differing digits but still no luck.

Is it possible the telco can route the DID calls to the PRI without sending any digits???

I mean DID calls are at least ringing into the system but only at the attendant station and i do see the caller id info on the display. But i do not see the DNIS...

I think that is possible.

I think that in order to see the DNIS (dialed) digits, that option has to be enabled in pgm 251 button 1. Turning that on is not automatically going to make the did calls route correctly, but it would be helpful to see if there are dialed digits and what they happen to be.

Happy Day called me to tell me the problem has been resolved. I am hoping that he will post the fix. I think It has to do with the 4 digit did numbers (4800 to 4899) matching the extension numbers which is unusual now a days. I think this scenario creates a situation where if a did number doesn't match the extension you modify the dialed digits but in this case, I don't think you do, because if you do, the call will not route. Lets see if that is how I understood it.
