Hello Everyone, I'm between a Rock and a Hard Place! Had a Activoice Repartee VM stop working, out of the blue it shuts down to the OS/2 icon screen, when you click restart voicemail it starts to boot, then says "error Key is old format, call to have a field programmable key installed, press any key to continue, press a key it goes back to OS/2 icon screen, if anyone knows a fix for this PLEASE let me know, customer is upset.

Check the dongle on the back and make sure that it is attached to a serial port. It should be on COM2, the big 25-pin serial port. If you suspect a bad serial port, you can try using a 9-25 pin adapter with the dongle on COM1.

Sounds like a loose or bad dongle. The ActiveVoice company is now called AVST and is out of Seattle, Wa.

I called the new ActiveVoice company AVST, basically once the dongle goes its dead in the water, they don't replace them any more. Thanks for your help, it was much appreciated!

That seems to be an issue with dongles on products. I remember the same back in the late 1990s with Compass Voicemails. If the dongle went no spares..
