I am sort of the telecom manager for a manufacturing company and we have two separate inter-tel systems. The one at our corp headquarters has had a system alarm #104 for the past two mornings when I come in. When I look at the switch I see a minor alarm light on the cpu/pcm-d card. Yesterday I cleared the alarm and did not see any apparent problem with the system. I have read in some of the posts about checking alarm #’s in a book but I only have a admin guide and do not have any alarm #’s. I need to know about the 104 alarm now but how can I get a list of all alarm codes?

104 is a database corruption alarm. What your vendor needs to do is backup your system, turn system off and default it by pulling the battery strap, turn it back on and reload the database.

Ok I have been pretty much been my own vendor up to and including replacing a ground start card with a keyset card. Along with programming 16 additional extensions. I will have no problem backing up the database although I am not sure how to pull the battery jumper unless it is on the cpu? Also is there a book or something I can buy to get a list of these codes?

I finally got in early enough to reset the system this morning. It went fine, now we will see if the 104 error shows up in the morning. Thank you for all of your help.
