System 8.2 DB Studio 1.51
Can someone please explain the steps to change a standard phone keyset to an ip keyset?
I know I'll lose the VM box, but that's not an issue.
many thanks

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT JUST THE ENDPOINT ITSELF ?

ummm...maybe you don't understand...
All I want to do, is change my phone from a regular keyset to an IP keyset.
ie: reassign ext 2116 to another number remove ext 2116 from the ext list add 2116 back in as an ext with an ip phone
I just want to replace my extension with an ip phone.

step 1-get the ipt up and running with a new ext# step 2-would be to copy and paste 2116 to new ext number (select all info on paste)make sure ext number is displayed on copy/paste operation step 3-delete 2116 or set to none on DKSC step 4-change ext# in step 1 to 2116 step 5-reasociate VM box to 2116 good luck

Its similar to a IPRC for your IP endpoints, except it handles all your Local endpoints. In DB programing under STSTEM->CABINETS. This will display cards installed in your switch, Be careful in this area.
