I am trying to find a document or information on setting up QOS on the 7400. I thought it was on our samsung site. I have 3 ip phones externally that cannot call internal ip phones on occasion. Please help Thanks

You can tag the voice packets with a ToS/Diffserv bit.

What happens when they can't call in? no speech? 1 way speech?

No voice the call rings and shows connected but no voice either way?

Qos won't fix that issue.

At a guess you have a port forward issue.

Can you provide some more information about the setup?

Version of system, number of mgi/oas cards

Type/version of ip phones

I have 2 statics 1 to the mcp and 1st oas and 1 to 2nd oas. 4.60b software, 27 internal ip phones and 3 external, problem happens at peak ip traffic times from exterior to interior or vice versa.

Do I understand it works, but you have no audio only during peak times?

That does sound like a qos issue. Almost like the rtp packets are being dropped in favor of the data packets.
Are the 3 remote phones at the same location?
Registered publicly or via vpn?
