i have a customer whom has a sbx ip 320 and they want to change their auto attendant so when a call comes in the system will automatically answer the call and put them in a queue and while they are in hold/queue they will hear a custom message and all the phones in the group will ring and then someone can pick up to answer the call. Then at night the phones will go to a vm box with a message.

current setup is 3 co lines 5 stations.

Send the calls to a ring all group 620 in station group programming with overflow to vm announcement. At night set the co lines to ring to the mailbox you want if no caller call routing is needed.

Derrick thanks for the quick response. The enduser would like the calls to be put in a Hold queue so for example the caller would go directly into a queue and here a message stating to please hold for the next available rep.... and the huntgroup 620 will see the lights blinking and be able to pickup. If i setup just to go to HG 620 then no message is played just phones ring. Im wondering if there is a way to foward all calls to hold and then the external MOH will play the message.

I set it up where the calls go to huntgroup 620 and it will ring all stations and then it will overflow to a VMIB 5 where it stays to continue to hold press 1 and when they press 1 it will ring back HG 620. I setup the Music Source for 620 under attributes to 2 for external but the caller only hears the ringing not the music. Is there another spot to configure that.

You only hear music if all members of the group are busy or otherwise unavailable...like in dnd. Question, do you hear external music when a caller is answered and put on hold?

Yes i can hear the external music when a caller is put on hold.

Well, I am pretty sure with a ring all or any group the members have to be all busy before music is heard instead of ring back.
