Hello,

We have a samsung d8 616 that we moved from one office to another. I am the it guy for the company and i have a lot of experience with nes phone systems. We are only using two extensions off this phone system and 3 co lines. I connected every thing the same as it was in are other office. When I turned the system on the phones came up for 45 secs and then they turned off. When I take the phone cover off I see a blinking red light on the bottom left of the system. Anyone have an Idea on what happened? I double checked to make sure every was the same.

I can think of two things.. A. The board got shorted during the move.

B. Maybe the ext ports got move when restarting the system or something.. But like i said we did have phones for a few secs..

Thanks

Check the voltage from the power supply. 55vdc and 5vdc at the main board. Sometimes the stranded wire on the cable causes a problem also check the amp connector on the top left of the board and make sure it did not come loose. Do the phones have a version showing or are they dead?

thanks for the advice.. The phones are completely dead. I checked fuses and the power supply seems to be getting enough power.

Reading the power up Manuel it reads the there should be some leds lights flashing.. All I have is a red ligh flashing as soon as it is turned on. Right next to where the power supply is plugged into the mainboard.

Grrr..

I did not remove the phone system from the previous build. An employee thought he would be "helping me out" since I sent all day moving computers. Could he have fried something?

The flashing red light is the "heartbeat" it means the processor is running.A bad power supply wouldn't give you that.Sounds very strange and you checked to make sure the amphenol cable is seated properly? What about at a station jack do you have 48V?
Your station connections should begin on the Black/Brown pair.

Check the 55 volts. Check for hot ic's on the main board just below the transformers. The heartbeat can still scan if the 55 volts is missing the phones just wont come up. yellow to red 5 volts green to black 55 volts.
