Today I added a 3X8 card to a base SBX320. Before I started I backed-up the current database. Installed the card, master cleared, then reloaded the database. I searched here and found out about loading the card which I am going to do on Monday.
How can I reload or keep the current dbase? This one is working very well for the customer, and I don't want to screw it up. I added the card in order to get more CO lines.
I know that I did one before where I added a card, and Vertical TS had me do a full default, then reload, and I think that was after I had to manually add the card.
Thanks in advance

If the database switch 4 is on the system automatically sees the card after a reset, but the database you downloaded first will not have the card programming so uploading just removes it again.
It is better to add the card using admin at the phone. Procedure for when dip switch 4 is off is found in the install guide page 6-8.
While in the Admin programming mode: 1. Press the [TRANS/PGM] button + PGM number (101). 2. Enter slot number (2 digits). 3. Press [FLEX1] button. 4. Enter Board Type code (2 digits). 5. Press the [HOLD/SAVE] button to accept the change.
Reset the system. Download the database again. This time it will have the card in it.

Thanks Derrick. I did a little more thinking about this yesterday, and I am pretty sure that the card worked after I defaulted, turned #4 on, reset, etc. When I loaded the Dbase I'm sure that it took it back out again. What you suggested was what I was going to try next. I'm still good, since the Telco isn't bringing the line until Friday.
Thanks again
