I got called out to a site today because all voicemail/AA functions had stopped working on an IPK II. This is a new customer but we've had this call before from existing customers. Usually a power failure issue. Shutdown the card, reboot the system, reboot the card. I showed up LED1 was red SW3 was in the run position. I flipped SW3 to shutdown waited and rebooted the switch. Waited and rebooted the VMP.LED1 goes green, should be good. Here's where it gets weird. Called in had the receptionist place me in a mailbox, left a message, but could not check it. All passwords are denied user and admin. Card shows link and activity on the network no access. All mailbox greetings are there but nobodies passwords work. WTH??? Ideas???

Log in to the admin mailbox and reset passwords. I'm thinking that it got hacked. Most default passwords are trivial MBOX 300 PW 300, etc. So if the hacker changed the passwords, that would explain the condition.

Worst case reset the database and rebuild it.

I literally watched it go down twice. Thought it was a power issue but reset and rebuild got it back up and running. 3 days and no problems.
