I have a customer using 3 external paging zones (3 separate Bogen 2 wire Amps)Zone1 Zone2 Zone3

They use each zone individually and also use all call

They want to add another set of external speakers out side the building which would be zone 4 for emergency use only

They want to be able to use zone 1-2-3 individually and all call zone 1-2-3

but they also want to be able to include zone 4 on an emergency basis only which will include all 4 zones

can this be done or would this possibly require some additional equipment

Thanks

JD

How are you interfacing the Aspire to the Bogen equipment? If you are using a Bogen paging controller, you can set it up in there.....

I think you can do this in porgramming. First, you add the outside speakers as an additional external paging zone. The "all call" page becomes the paging to all four zones, to be used as you said for emergency paging.

Now, you need to recreate a paging call that includes zones 1-3, but not zone 4. If you set up a combined paging assignment in program 31-07 that assigns zones 1-3 to a common internal zone - that would give you the ability to page those three zones.

If you don't want paging coming through the phone speakers, you set up an internal paging zone for the combined paging that does not have any extensions assigned to it.

I haven't taken the time to prove the concept here - but I have done some similar stuff on Aspire, and I think this would work for you.

I thought the combined paging just gave you the ability to combine the internal paging zones to (1) external paging zone
