Hi, kids....My client bought an office with a Strata DK280. Equipment in very good condition. I purchased and installed a Stradegy DK 4-port VM. Lead port for VM is 232. Programming and operation just fine until......Night service key I made directs all CO lines to immediate ring port 232. Instead of 900-901 answering calls, a general mailbox I created(801) answers. I'm stumped. Also....is there a code for VM transfer for this unit?? Thanks. Revertingcall Northern Illinois

Sorry, there is no Transfer to voice mail function in that system. There are a couple ways that some techs overcome this shortcoming. The common way I see is the reception pressing transfer, dialing the Voice mail's extension (pilot) number, wait for it to answer, entering 998, entering the mailbox number, then hanging up.
In some configurations you may have to enter the # key after the extension number, and I have seen 8 used instead of 998. I don't know if this is original configuration for the older voice mail systems, or if the tech created a shortcut.
By default, the Stratagy voice mail system will answer with 990 then 991. You can check the system configuration to see if this has changed in the voice mail system. No answer will typically follow to mailbox 0, which I have seen fill up with a bunch of messages that nobody knows exists because there is nobody with an extension 0.
Did you initialize the system when you first got it? I personally think that this is a good idea when getting used equipment. No telling what type of things are setup in there.

Dave...thanx for response. For clarity, in day mode when port 232 is delayed ring, 900-901 answer....it is only in night mode, when all CO lines are immediate to port 232(Lead VM port) that mailbox 801 answers. 800 and 801 are boxes I created. 800 is the directory box, as, for some reason, 411 wouldn't work no matter what i did, and 801 was created as a general, with copying to owner. Any ideas? They can live without a VM xfer, as extensions are fwd b/na. 800 and 801 are dialing options in 901 (5 and 9, respectivley)
