Have you ever encountered a Samsung phone system trouble where the customer reports getting disconnected from an outside call and then seeing all of the lights on their keysets light up and then go out? I suspect a bad 6TRK…maybe but don’t really have a smoking gun at this point. I did go onsite and it was brought to my attention that button 20(unprogrammed) on several of keysets was flashing. When I pressed the flashing button it then rang to ext. 216. Once I went back on-hook button 20 no longer was flashing. Aside from that everything appears to be in working order…maybe the following entries in the Alarm log are some indication as to what the problem may be?

MNF07 Slot#4-P06 10/16
MNF06 Slot#4-P06 10/16
MNF06 Slot#5-P03 10/15
MNF06 Slot#5-P03 10/11
MNF06 Slot#5-P05 10/11

Slot 4 is an 8DLI, extension 209-216
Slot 5 is an 8DLI, extension 217-224

The Samsung iDCS programming manual says the MNF06 alarm name is Trunk disconnect, definition Out of service trunk detected via seizure of trunk. External seizure test. A
The MNF07 alarm name is Trunk connect, definition is out of service trunk recovered via seizure of trunk. External seizure test.

I’m also wondering if setting a Diagnostics time under MMC 854 could possibly help to identify a faulty card? Whatever help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

I would look at the power unit if not the trunk card 100s have been out for ages never really had a problem with trunk cards only when lighting has struck the building
