I am interested in implementing wireless phones using wireless PDAs. However it seems that my local Inter-Tel installer/provider is not very knowledgeable about the requirements for the PDAs. His suggestion was to buy a PDA or smartphone and see if it works. He did give me a list of compatible smartphones, but most of them are not on the market anymore. They have been replaced with newer models.
My question is: Is there an up to date list of either compatible smart phones/PDAs or an up to date list of requirements for the smart phone/PDA?

Thanks for your help.

I have an 80,000 square foot factory and wharehouse that I am preparing to set-up with wireless access. I would like to give the plant managers and some of the mobile executives the ability to use a PDA while in the factory so they can still make and receive phone calls.

What type of PDA are you talking about. Blackberry, Treo, other?? And are you trying to connect the PDA to the PBX? And if you are, what PBX do you have, Axxess?

Sorry, but I'm still lost as to what your trying to do.

I want to give mobile users in our factory and warehouse access to a phone utilizing a wireless network and PDAs using the 8601 PDA software. One thing I am trying to find out right now is what PDA phones are compatible with the 8601 PDA software.
