Hello,
I am new to phone systems, but I have done quite a bit of reading on the KX-TD1232 and how to program it.

I know there are several different ring group types. Can someone explain them to me? Is there a way to pick up the phone and hit the group number and have those phones ring, then any of the extensions in that group could pick up? Without having to dial 33 to page and 43 to pick up? I figured out how to page a group but it isn't the same.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

well by default all phones are in group one so technically if you set ring group 1 to be a ringing ring group and you had a 191 soft key on your phone and you pressed that button before going off hook
then you would ring all the phones in ring group 1...!

What is a 191 soft key? Is it a floating number assignment?

yes fdn 191 and yes it is flexible button that has been cleared and then you type 191 autodial/store then enter! then you you are able to press that button and lift the handset and any one who is in group 1's phone will ring ... don't forget to make 191 ring group 1 a ringing ring group .

The Flexible CO button won't let me program an extension that high (191), I enter 1 for DSS, then it asks for extension, but it won't let me put in 191. Is there an option to put Groups or Floating Numbers as Flexible CO?

Read previous post!

These procedures are very clearly stated in manual.
2 to clear then 191 then Store.

All phones most likely in group 1.
