I have inherited an Audix Intuity which had a lost password and nobody could get in to administer, well the hard drive crashed last week the day after Avaya had been out to try to get into it and certify the system so the inads guys could try and crack it. I got a drive and installed r4.5, it now boots and is working. BUT I have an older backup tape, the nightly one got eaten a couple days before, (when it rains...) My question is...If I do a restore from the older backup, will that set my craft and sa passwords back to where I can't access system admin again?
Thanks to all Rich

Thanks for the answers and help, it was decided for me that I would 'just' rebuild it from scratch and keep my passwords after all.
Thanks again Rich

Probably a smart move Rich, not all that hard to add the users/attendants back in with a rebuild. If you want to play around with the pw issue shoot me a PM
