We are adding 5 Co lines to an existing SBX with 4 Co lines. Since it would not be user friendly to put 9 lines on the label, I am assuming that LOOP buttons would provide access to pick up incoming calls. Would three LOOP buttons be sufficient? Can they be used for outgoing also or do I need to program a POOL button? Do I need just one POOL button? Do I still dial 9 for outgoing calls? Will CALL PARKING work for external calls on this setup? Is it correct that internal calls cannot be parked but only transferred?

Three loops is enough. 9 access will still work as long as all the trunks are in group 1. You cannot park an internal call, however there is a feature called ICM hold (similar to personal park) trans/pgm 83. There is no info anywhere as to whether this feature has a remote pickup option. I doubt it has that ability.
