Installed a Durafon for a customer but am having some trouble with it. They have an AA set up to answer all calls with an option to speak to someone that points at a hunt group. Added the Durafon extension to the hunt group but it still doesn't ring when calls route to the hunt group. The Durafon does however give the little half ring when calls come in and go to the AA and rings if you dial its extension from the AA or intercom. All the digital sets in the hunt group ring just fine...

Any ideas?

You can program lines to ring an ATA port, but cannot put it in a hunt group. If possible, you could program auto attendant option to ring the ATA with answer DNs for the ATA port on the remaining phones.

That's not a bad idea... worth a try anyway!

Not really sure I understand why an ATA port can't go in a hunt group but I believe you. smile

Problem with that is every time somebody wants to call the person with the cordless direct they will also call the answer DN set.

Getting a proper Nortel cordless (Companion,M7410,T7406 & T7406e) would solve the issue.
Systems are designed mostly around digital sets and not so much ATA's (mainly for analog devices and not reception/callagents).

You could also overflow to the ATA.

As for half rings that is because the lines are programmed to ring at the ATA, AA beats it to the call......remove the lines from ATA's DN.
