I support a few CTX/CIX 100 systems, use the Stratagy Admin software for that. The software says it works for CTX100/670..

I have run accross a CTX28 that does have the LAN interface on it. Wondering what software I can use to program it? I have done some of the stuff on phone button programming, but it's pretty slow.

Stratagy Admin is for the voice mail, not the phone system. You will need EManager for that.

Thanks - I misspoke. I had the old WinAdmin - not sure if I could have used it for the CTX28 - it says CTX100 and CTX670 on the opening screen.

Anyway - I just got the eManager and installed it. So, I will be taking a run at this thing tomorrow. Looks like eManager will admin any of the Toshiba systems I support.

Several years ago my 1st Toshiba install was a CTX28. The LAN interface is an optional card in that system, and the company I worked for at that time did not buy it. I did the entire instal through a phone. It took a very long time, and some things could not be programmed with a 10 button phone.

Some time later, on this site, someone mentioned that the CTX-28 has a built-in modem and 1 analog port. You can use the analog port and the laptop's modem to connect to the system with Winadmin. It will be slower then a LAN connection, but faster then using a phone. (I've done the same thing with a voicemail when I did not have the correct cord)

Winadmin is only used for old systems, such as the CTX28. It will also work for CTX 100 or 670 running software 2.22 or lower. After 3.XX, you would want to use emanager. I have found that while emanager does work on older systems, it seems to be a bit buggy on very old software, like version 1.XX.

as David said use the extn 208 SLT and connect your laptop via the modem and dial into the remote modem internally.

Hi guys, I am trying to connect to a CTX28 with a modem connected to ext 208, dialing the internal modem using Winadmin, but when I click "connect", I get a message that says "The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection". Would anyone be able to tell me where in the software I need to create this phonebook entry?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
